Numerous people recently wrote about why one should leave GitHub, so I won't elaborate on that here. I finally did the move, to SourceHut:
the new home for my personal projects
It turned out to be a surprisingly easy process! And SourceHut looks great so far!
I also deleted my repos from GitHub. This will not please the ATS scrapers looking at GitHub activity, or just looking for a GitHub link on the resume... something I unfortunately have to care about (I'm a last-year student). Let's see how it goes.
